Procedures

Hair Restoration.

Transplant and non-transplant treatments that move or support hair on the scalp, beard or eyebrows.

Not yet confirmed

This category is in the draft only. Hair Restoration is a normal part of what an Istanbul aesthetic clinic offers, but we have not yet confirmed that this clinic performs these procedures. Nothing here should be published before that confirmation.

With surgery

  • Sapphire FUE

Follicular unit extraction using sapphire blades to open the channels.

  • DHI Transplant

Places grafts directly with an implanter pen rather than pre-opened channels.

  • Beard Transplant

Moves hair to the beard area to add density or shape.

  • Eyebrow Transplant

Moves hair to the brow line, following its natural direction.

Without surgery

  • PRP for Hair

A course of injections from your own blood, aimed at supporting existing hair.

What This Changes in Your Plan

A transplant is a long day rather than a difficult operation, and the first wash is done before you fly. The result appears over months, so the plan continues by message long after you are home.

Four Questions Worth Asking.

A good consultation is one where you did the asking. These are the ones that change the answer for this group of procedures.

  1. How many grafts do you think I need, and what is my donor area like?
  2. Which technique are you proposing, and why that one for my case?
  3. What will my head look like in the first two weeks?
  4. When is it fair to judge the result?

Transplant Techniques, and What Actually Separates Them

A hair transplant moves follicles from an area that keeps growing to an area that has thinned. Sapphire FUE and DHI are two ways of doing that. In FUE the channels are opened first, with sapphire blades, and grafts are placed into them. In DHI the graft is placed directly with an implanter pen and the channel is made in the same movement.

Beard and eyebrow transplants use the same principle with different direction and density, because hair on the face grows at angles that scalp hair does not. PRP is not a transplant at all; it is a course of injections aimed at supporting hair that is still there.

A Long Day Rather than a Difficult Operation

The procedure itself is long, and that surprises people more than any discomfort does. The first wash is done with you before you fly, which is deliberate: it is easier to be shown once than to read instructions in a hotel room, and the written version goes home with you.

The visible part of the first two weeks is worth understanding in advance, because it affects whether you want to be back at work, and it is entirely predictable. Your consultant goes through it before you travel.

Why Nobody Can Give You a Graft Number by Email

The number of grafts depends on how much area needs covering and on what your donor area can safely give. Both are assessed by looking at your scalp. A number quoted before an examination is a sales figure rather than a plan, and it is worth being suspicious of one.

Judging the result is the other thing worth getting right. Growth appears over months, not weeks, which is why your consultant stays in contact long after you are home rather than closing the file at the airport.

Questions We Get About This Group.

When is it fair to judge the result?

Not in the first weeks. Growth appears over months, which is why your consultant stays in contact long after you are home.

Is the first wash done before I fly?

Yes. It is done with you so that you know how to continue at home, and the instructions go with you in writing.

How many grafts will I need?

That depends on your donor area and on the area to be covered, and it is assessed in person. A number given before an examination is a guess.

Not every procedure suits every patient, and the examination on Day 1 can change the plan. That is what it is for.
