Hair Transplant in Turkey: How to Read What You Are Offered
The language used in hair restoration offers is doing a lot of work. Here is how to read it, and which questions change the answer.
Who Performs Which Part
Hair restoration is a long procedure with several stages, and clinics divide those stages differently. Find out which parts the surgeon performs personally, which parts a technician performs, and how many patients the clinic runs in a day.
This is not a gotcha question. It is the difference between two offers that look identical on paper.
Graft Counts Are an Estimate, Not a Promise
A number given before an examination is a projection based on photographs. What is actually available is decided by your donor area, and that is assessed in person.
If a quoted number cannot go down after examination, ask what it is based on. If it can, ask what happens to the price when it does.
What the Plan Says About the Years Ahead
Hair loss continues after a transplant. A serious plan talks about that: what happens to the areas that were not treated, and what the strategy is if the pattern moves.
An offer that treats the procedure as a full stop is describing a photograph, not a plan.
The Trip, and What Is Included
Check the medication, the first wash, and the follow-up appointments: are they in the quote, or are they items you will be offered later? The instructions should exist in writing, in a language you read fluently, and it is fair to see them before you commit.
You will want a name for the first weeks: who you contact from the UK, and how fast they answer.
Two Things Worth Refusing
A same-day decision. And a plan that will not change after an examination. Neither is a sign of confidence; both remove the step that protects you.
Why the Donor Area Decides More than the Recipient Area
The area being treated is what you are looking at in the mirror. The area that decides what is possible is the one at the back and sides, and it is finite. A plan that spends it all in one session may leave nothing for a pattern that is still moving.
A surgeon planning for the long term will tell you what is being reserved, and why. A surgeon planning for the next ten years will answer that immediately; an offer built around a graft number often cannot.
Medication, and the Part Nobody Mentions in the Quote
Hair restoration plans frequently involve medication, and whether it is recommended, for how long, and what it costs at home in the UK is part of the real total. Whatever is expected of you after the trip belongs in your own budget, so price it yourself before you decide.
The follow-up question is what happens if you stop. The answer is not a sales point, but it is the difference between a decision and a purchase.
