What a Good Consultation Feels Like
The consultation is the product you are actually buying first. What to expect from a serious one, and what should worry you.
It Starts with You Talking
A good consultation begins with what bothers you and what you want to change, in your own words, before anyone mentions a procedure.
If the first ten minutes are a description of what the clinic offers, the order is wrong.
You Are Examined
Physically, in person, by the person who will operate. Photographs, mirrors and measurements support that; they do not replace it.
Expect to be told things about your own anatomy that you did not know. That is what you came for.
You Hear About Limits
A serious consultation includes what the operation will not change, what the trade-offs are, and where scars will be. If everything is described as straightforward, something is being left out.
Every case has a difficult part. A surgeon who names yours is worth listening to. There usually is one, and the answer is revealing.
You Are Allowed to Leave Undecided
No pressure to book that day, no expiring price, no discount that depends on committing now. A surgical decision that survives a week is a better decision.
This is the clearest single signal available to you.
You Leave with Something Written
A plan, in writing, that you can read at home and show to someone else. Even a short summary changes the quality of every conversation afterwards.
Not treatment advice. Every plan is decided by an examination, not by an article.
